Today, Nexsey LLC, a family-owned cosmetics company, announced the launch of a beauty contest aimed at contestants 60 and over. The contest, aptly named "Nexsey's Timeless Beauty Contest", will run from December 2nd to January 2nd, and asks for people to nominate themselves or another person who is 60 or older, whom they consider "beautiful".
While many cosmetics companies may focus on millennial markets, Gomez has successfully pursued a customer base that spans various age groups, including her own baby-boomer base.
"Many of our customers are in their 60s and 70s. There is a strong emphasis right now on capturing this idea of youthful beauty, but what I want people to understand is that beauty changes as we age, I believe it actually gets better!" said Gomez.
"At Nexsey, we believe Sixty is the New Sexy and we want to recognize that."
The 60 and over beauty contest requires a photo submission and a short description of what makes the nominee beautiful. All submissions should be sent to email@example.com and those interested may visit nexsey.com for more details, terms, and conditions.
Besides the various cosmetic prizes available, 12 winners (one a month) will be featured on Nexsey's social media platform as the "Nexsey's Timeless Beauty of the Month".
